I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed spring weather as much as I am enjoying it this year. Each day that is sunny and warm makes me excited. I’m almost afraid to hope for good weather each morning, and then it happens. We’ve had some rainy days, but fortunately they have primarily been during the week while I’m at work. That is the perfect time for it to be rainy…when I’m stuck inside all day.

We bought a gazebo and some patio furniture a few weeks ago and it has been awesome to spend time outside enjoying it. I was thrilled that the furniture and gazebo coordinated so nicely…I was afraid that they would look really mismatched. We searched all over town for the furniture and after seeing nearly EVERYTHING out there, we picked a set from Home Depot. I liked that it was dark brown and khaki and that it was comfortable, but I was nervous that I wouldn’t like it once I actually got it home and put it together. I was wrong! It is everything I never knew I always wanted! And…the throw pillows that came with it have a stripe that is the same color as the top of the gazebo!

I’m looking forward to many evenings outside, on the furniture, with friends and family!

The black cloud that has been hovering over my job may have been lifted! Thanks so much to everyone who has been praying for me. God is so good!

To make a long story short, I broke down a week ago Thursday with a co-worker. I couldn’t contain my any longer and she picked up on it. So after work I went down to see her and ended up in tears. I was sitting there in a corporate conference room, with my corporate outfit on, across the table from my corporate coworker and I was sobbing. I felt like a fish out of water. Fortunately, she is really cool. She got up and came to my side of the table and gave me a hug. I couldn’t believe that I had gotten to that point. Well, anyways…to make a long story short, she heard me out, shared some feedback with me and I was on my way.

The next morning was Friday. I figured I could survive one more day and then take the weekend to pull myself together and then maybe I would talk to him the following week. Well, it turns out he was sweet as pie that whole day. I wasn’t going to hold my breath though…we have had occasional good days in the past, so this was probably just one of them.

The weekend came and went and I was still nervous about going back to work on Monday, but the height of emotion had passed. Well, what do you know? He was nice again. And then on Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, all the way till now. He has been a different person!

I suspected that Joanna must have said something to him, but when I asked her about it, she hadn’t. I don’t even really care why he changed, I’m just so thankful that things are better. I don’t think I could have survived spending 40+ hours each week in a situation that was making me miserable.
