About Me

Hi, I’m Rebecca. Thanks for visiting my blog :) Perhaps you want to know a little more about me in order to decide whether to stick around or move on. I think the “About Me” page of a blog can make up your mind in about 3 minutes.

Now I’m feeling a lot of pressure to be interesting. And relevant. And funny. And thought-provoking. And stylish.

Oh dear…

Ok, here’s the skinny: I’m a 37 year old Navy wife, mother to 3 wonderful children (Grace 7, Avery 5, Drew 3), blogger, YouTuber, Jesus Lover, Social Justice Zealot, who is passionate about learning, food, connecting with people, and the Gospel.

I married my high-school sweetheart nearly 15 years ago. He’s a kind-hearted, all American, squeaky-clean smarty pants. He’s currently a flight surgeon in the Navy and we recently moved from Maryland to Florida to Maryland which will be our 3rd move in 2 years!  Fasten your seat belts and keep your hands in the car at all times. It’s going to be a wild ride!

After Drew was born I did my first Whole30.  Whole30 totally changed the way I eat, and I continue to follow the plan most of the time while also giving myself lots of grace because I can tend to get obsessed with eating perfectly.  Such a silly thing when people around the world are hungry (this post drastically changed my perspective).

My love for food has propelled me into quite a bit of recipe blogging.  I love to prepare and eat healthy meals and think it’s important to make wise food choices.  You can check out my clean recipe ideas on the eat.clean.quick. tab and the Whole30 tab as well as the most popular posts on the right side bar) but I’m not all nutso about it because I know that God loves me and thinks I’m beautiful, and since my 29th birthday, I’ve committed to agreeing with Him :)

I adore red wine, coffee and outdoor festivals. I’m addicted to striped clothing and pearl earrings. I love Jesus and strive to become more like Him everyday. I procrastinate like it’s an Olympic sport. I’m a voracious reader and adore the smell of old books. I make really good chocolate chip cookies and will throw down with anyone who thinks their cookies stand a chance. For reals.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you decide to stay :)

  1. Hi Rebecca,

I really like your website. Thank you so much for sharing. I read a book recently called The Continuum Concept and I think you may love it. Just reading your choc chip cookie recipe made me think of it with the stories of your children! Anyway I am off to make cookies! Thanks again, they look amazing!

    Rani.

  2. We seem to have a lot in common! I am looking forward to reading your blog. I have 4 sweet boys and just got my sweet baby girl! Eating clean but keeping it real is hard!! My family loves everything meat and potatoes and sweets…

  3. Love your “about me” page and definitely want to stay! I, too, love coffee, outdoor festivals, and Jesus! I read ALL THE TIME.
Can’t wait to check out the ” Eat Clean Quick” tab. I want to eat clean, but so many plans I see require so much work and prep that I just run away.
    Thanks for what you do!
