Hi, I’m Rebecca. Thanks for visiting my blog :) Perhaps you want to know a little more about me in order to decide whether to stick around or move on. I think the “About Me” page of a blog can make up your mind in about 3 minutes.
Now I’m feeling a lot of pressure to be interesting. And relevant. And funny. And thought-provoking. And stylish.
Ok, here’s the skinny: I’m not by the way. I’ve got about 20 lbs to lose and after taking a stab at the whole weight loss thing and blogging my way through it, I eventually waved the white flag after getting pregnant with my second child. It was a bummer that I didn’t make more progress, but I let myself off the hook during my pregnancy and ended up craving salads anyway! If you want to check out my journey, you can find it here.
I got pretty serious about eating clean after Avery was born (You can check out my clean recipe ideas on the eat.clean.quick. tab) but I’m not all nutso about it because I know that God loves me and thinks I’m beautiful and since my 29th birthday, I’ve committed to agreeing with Him :)
Almost two years ago I had my 3rd child (a boy!) and I did Whole30 about a month after he was born. Whole30 totally changed the way I eat, and I continue to follow the plan most of the time while also giving myself lots of grace because I can tend to get obsessed with eating perfectly. Such a silly thing when people around the world are hungry (this post changed my perspective drastically).
I’m a 36year-old SAHM (stay at home mom). I was formerly a full-time working mom and let me just say, those women deserve MAJOR PROPS! It’s a hard gig, yo.
I used to juggle my position as Executive Administrator at a consulting firm in the banking industry with my real passion which is taking care of my family and keeping up with this blog. It was a crazy couple of years, but I’m so thankful for the experience because it taught me a TON and gave me a greater appreciation for being able to stay home now.
I married my high-school sweetheart 11 years ago. He’s a kind-hearted, all American, squeaky-clean smarty pants. He’s currently a first year resident doctor in the Navy and we moved to Maryland from Michigan over the summer. Fasten your seat belts and keep your hands in the car at all times. It’s going to be a wild ride!
I adore red wine, coffee and outdoor festivals. I’m addicted to cardigans and pearl earrings. I love Jesus and strive to become more like Him everyday. I procrastinate like it’s an Olympic sport. I’m a voracious reader and adore the smell of old books. I make really good chocolate chip cookies and will throw down with anyone who thinks their cookies stand a chance. For reals.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you decide to stay :)
