There are coordinating outfits, big smiles, and presents heaped beneath the tree. Cookies and carols and eggnog and laughter.
Also sorrow and pain and loss and remorse. Sickness and death and sin have robbed us and it’s never fair.
Praise God there’s a Savior!
A baby boy born in the most humble way. The greatest gift of all and He was unwelcome anywhere but a cold crude cavern in the desert.
He came to change everything. To restore us to the heart of our Creator. To usher in a kingdom SO GOOD that all the bad of this life will be chased away like a shadow in the morning sun.
Oh how we need that tiny baby who changed it all!
The baby who became the King who promises to make it all right again.
Today as I feel joy for all the good and sadness for all the bad, I’m ever so grateful for the greatest gift we have ever been offered.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas…

Rebecca, your beautiful baby boy looks like he has found the perfect home! The girls looked so excited to hold him. Enjoy each day – for me it seems like I blinked and now they will be 34 and 32.
What a treasure you have! Congrats and Merry Christmas.
