* My brother stayed with us this weekend and we had a great time with him. It was a laid back visit full of great food, good beer, an interesting movie, awesome church service and lots of playtime with Grace. Check out the Christmas gift he gave her:
* I’ve been getting used to wearing my hair less poofy and I must confess…I really like it! In fact, now that I’m getting used to it, I think I even like it better than the poof. Crazy.
* I’m toying with other topics that men and women hold different views on. Next up may be nail polish preferences. I’ve already started conducting “research” :)
* I started watching Downton Abbey on Netflix and have gotten hooked! It’s a lovely period drama with a fun cast of characters. My fellow Friends fans can appreciate that I often call it “Downton Crabby” in my mind :)
* We went to the 11:30am service at church today and it felt so different! My brother and I were up super late last night and couldn’t get it together in time for the 9:00 service. I’m glad we didn’t skip because the message was great, but I missed the early service vibe and people.
* I’ve got big plans for Valentine’s desserts this week and I’m hoping I have the energy to carry them out! Check back for pictures and recipes :)
* We had a major snowfall on Friday night and I was hoping to take Grace sledding this weekend but the sub-zero temperatures have been too big a deterrent so we’ve stayed inside.
* Speaking of Grace, I’m so thankful for her. I literally ache with love when I watch her grow and develop each day. As strong willed as she is, she is an absolute treasure and such a good girl. We’ve taken her to several events lately and put her to sleep in her pack and play and she goes down so easily without even a peep. Waking her up to take her home is just as smooth. I’m so thankful that she’s becoming flexible and adaptable.
* Part of my resolution to be more disciplined this year has been attempting to make the bed most days, and I have to say that I’ve been doing pretty well. It’s so nice to walk past the room throughout the day and see the bed all made up. It took me forever to find bedding I liked after we got married and when I finally decided on a set, it almost seemed a waste because I left the bed unmade so often. I’m making up for lost time by enjoying the finished product on an almost daily basis now :)
That’s my Sunday Spill; have a great week everyone!

Oh how I want to climb in there with my sweet Grace and kiss those rosy cheeks!!! What a great gift John Paul!!!! :)
