The good news is that my blood pressure is down to an acceptable range and I’ve been given the all-clear to start working out again. Yay!
Did I mention that I cried at my last appointment when the doc said I had to stop the high impact aerobics?
Yeah, I did.
I guess I hadn’t realized how much the workouts meant to me, mentally, physically and emotionally until I was told they were off-limits.
He also told me I should stop eating cheese. It sounded something like, “And also, Rebecca, no more happiness!”
Watch this if you didn’t get that last part…
Anywho, I’ve made some good changes, gotten back to working out and have been eating more veggies than ever before.
You’d think the scale would be loving all of that don’t you?
Today’s weigh in didn’t have me floating on Cloud 9, that’s for sure.
Today’s Weigh-In: .5 pounds down
Total Weight Loss: 12.5 pounds
I’m only hanging on by a thread, folks. This slow losing is pure torture! I’m in it to win it, but I’d like to get there before I’m 75!
It’s been about a week of my new habits (my first appointment was just before Thanksgiving and I wasn’t about to be on a diet that day. Or the next. Ok, that whole weekend.)
Next week’s gonna be good. I feel it!

Girl whatever you are doing looks great on you! I honestly mean that too… you look awesome, and I am not just saying that because I am your mom.

Have you considered measuring yourself instead of or in addition to weighing in? It can be much more motivating if you exercise a lot but aren't seeing scale results. For example, in the past two months I've started exercising more. I've only lost 7 pounds, but I've lost 4 inches from my hips, 4 inches from my lower waist, and 2 inches from my arms, true waist, and thighs. It keeps me motivated even when the scale seems “stuck” to break out the measuring tape and see encouraging results. Hope that helps.
