I’m not gonna lie. This whole weight loss thing has been a struggle.
With a capital “S”.
But I’m sticking to it. Even if I take a 4 day weekend for Labor Day and eat like it’s my job.
When I fall down, I get back up and keep going. Continually logging calories, and planning ahead.
It’s not fun, but I think part of it is actually rewarding. I have a record of every single thing I’ve eaten for the past 5 weeks. Not that it’s cool to look back on days that I went a little crazy and see a bright red negative number on the log, but it’s nice to see that green positive number on the days that I didn’t eat every calorie I was given.
There are very few days like that. I usually eat every last calorie, and I’m ok with that.
So, how did I do last week? Not perfect, but I’ll take it.
Today’s Weigh-In: down 2 pounds
Total Weight Loss: 7 pounds
This is going to take time. It’s not going to happen overnight or overmonth even. I need to remember that and keep pushing ahead.
Tomorrow night I’m going to a fun cocktail party in a cute teal satin number I picked up. It’s not the size I’d like it to be, but I’m gonna rock it anyway.

Girl, you are doing awesome! Weight loss and maintenance is all about making lifestyle changes you can stick to, and eating like it's your job is on the books sometimes! Stick with it Rebecca! Consistency is the key! Just remember: no matter what size you are, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, perfect in HIS eyes!

The teal dress sounds very tantalizing. I want to see it. Also, when i read the first few lines of your post, I thought it was going to be bad news this week…so I was surprised to read that you did great and lost two pounds!!! That is AWESOME. – mtv
