This week at work was jam packed with activity and now that it’s Friday, I’m tired.
I can’t wait for the beautiful moment tomorrow morning when, barely conscious, I realize that it’s Saturday.
Sweet Saturday.
No need to jump up and run around prepping for the workday. Plenty of time to slowly emerge from the bed, scoop up the smiley baby from her crib, cuddle during the morning feeding. And just be.
I’ve got to hit up the grocery to pick up next week’s meal ingredients and I’d like to spend some time weeding the gardens.
But otherwise my weekend is reserved for deep breaths, time with family and friends, culinary therapy and rest.
Grace sharing her blueberries with me at dinner tonight:
Getting a little antsy waiting for us to share our burgers! (we didn’t, but she loved the pickles and fries :)
Cuddling with daddy this morning. A rare thing for our busy bee:

Okay, I totally made the girl noise when I saw your lil 'un. She's adorable. (And Dad ain't so bad either!)
I'm glad you had a day of decompression. After returning from BlogHer and jumping back into work (and the stress of our closing on a house in a week), I was happy that my husband took off for most of yesterday.
I love him, but we're both home all day every day. So I got a chance to do a little cleaning up of the pile of papers that is my desk and to boogie around the house with no one to laugh at how badly I boogie.
I found it very relaxing. And today I plan on watching trashy TV (I'm totally undergoing vicarious therapy with the Ryan and Tatum: The O'Neals thing) and hang with the cats… and dread the resumption of the work week tomorrow.
