So, last week I was innocently going about my workday, kicking butt as I generally do when,

a tweet pops up on the screen of my beloved iPhone. It’s Diana. From Hormonal Imbalances.
She’s asking if I’d like to guest post for her.
WOULD I LIKE TO GUEST POST FOR ONE OF MY FAVORITE BLOGGERS?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
::head explosion::
Heck yes! I’d love to guest post for Diana.
Oh crap! Now what do I post? What is worthy of being posted to Diana’s blog? For all her readers? Yikes!
I had all kinds of ideas. I started brainstorming in the pages of my blogging notebook. I could post about motherhood, marriage, body image, Grace’s obsession with balls, homeschooling, and on and on and on!
Maybe I’ll write like 12 different posts and have Andy and Ellen read all of them and vote on their favorite. I’ll write a ton of fabulous posts and then, by process of elimination, I’ll have my people narrow them down for me.
What really happened though?
I procrastinated and procrastinated. I thought of a million things I could write about. And that’s all I did…think.
Then, I told Diana she’d have my post by a certain day and time. Now there was a deadline. Now I couldn’t mess around anymore. This was for real.
Diana posted the other day about marriage. It got me thinking about my own marriage. About the struggles and the victories.
So, I started writing. About marriage and my expectations.
I just so happened to be writing this guest post on my 8th wedding anniversary. Wow, eight years…it seems so close to ten, and ten makes me feel like a grownup!

All I can say is that you are AWESOME!!!! I am more than proud to me your mom….
Thank you for coming over today! We are so much alike you know, homeschooling, Bella is obsessed with balls (really, it's almost embarrassing at Gymboree). <3 Can't wait to see you.
So excited you got to guest blog, girl! And what an excellent post – realistic, raw, and something so many can relate to. Great job!!! xoxo
Yay! I loved what you had to say…you are an inspiration to me! Love you bunches!!
