Andy and I have spent the weekend working outside to get our yard in shape. He’s been SO incredible and has worked SO hard! He dug 2 big new flower beds and got a yard of topsoil/peat mix and mixed it into all of our beds and weeded and planted and transplanted and trimmed bushes and trees and organized the garage and set up the patio and gotten a lump of cash from returning scrap copper, and the list goes on! I’ve helped, but he’s done most of the work, I’m so thankful for him!
Here are a few pictures – comments relate to the picture above…(sorry for the quality – i must have had a shaky hand!)
The grass looks much better in person
These are my “edibles” they are planted at the beginning of the long bed along the fence
The Ugliest Pot Ever! Besides the one on the other side of the porch! My geraniums are too “leggy” and it’s driving me nuts!

Don’t like this much either :(
There are impatiens lining the beds…hopefully they’ll bloom big!
This is a cool pink flowering bush with two-toned green leaves…it’s a little sad right now but will hopefully perk up within the week! It was gorgeous when I bought it (like most plants are until I’ve had my way with them!)
Dusk was apparently too dark for these pix
I wish this could do the scene justice…it was so awesome out there tonight! We sat and soaked it up while eating home made quacamole and drinking Miller Light!

Your yard looks beautiful Rebecca! What a blessing that Andy shares your enthusiasm for all that beauty. Cut the flowers off the geraniums and allow the plant to fill in. That should help with those plants. I love it all though. You’ve got the Schwartz thing going on there. Hope I can see it in person. Love you. Aunt Becky
