I invested quite a bit of energy transforming my table and chairs into something that I would love instead of just something I got from the Art Van Clearance Center. It turned out really nice! I sanded the glossy finish of the wood with a rough sandpaper, then went over it with a finer sandpaper to smooth it out, then I painted on a coat of tinted primer, then two coats of flat black latex paint and then I rubbed on some Minwax Finishing Wax and buffed it in. Voila!

The table and chairs look great! You did a super job. So far no paint coming off? I always wondered how that was done. I never thought of waxing the painted finish. You can teach an old dog new tricks! Yeah!
