This weekend Andy and I babysat for Ryan and Becca’s son Jake. He is such a doll! We arrived at their house on Saturday morning at 8am and they left at 9am. I thought Jake might fuss when they left, but he was so excited to play with us that he waved goodbye to them and dragged us to the basement to play “choo-choos” (trains). We wore him out that morning and then put him down for a nap. We both napped too! After nap time we went to the park to play. It was such an awesome warm weekend! We had a blast at the park. maybe a little of both…it is so rewarding to take care of a little one’s needs and to have them hug you and love you. it also makes life so amazing to see everything for the first time through their eyes.
i was worn out though…partly due to my lingering insomnia and partly due to all the running around after him. he was so well behaved, but he’s still only 2, so i did a lot more moving around than sitting around. that made me want to wait a little bit, but also made me want to go for it. i can tend to be lazy.
One more thing…did babysitting make you want to have a child now or make you want to wait even longer? Just curious:)
He is so cute! I like how his hair sticks up:)
