Tonight Andy and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Our actual anniversary isn’t until Tuesday, but that isn’t a very good day for celebrating, so we opted for tonight. Actually, I should say Andy opted for tonight…he actually planned everything.
After I came home from work today we hopped in the car and headed out. I wasn’t sure where we were going, so it was fun to just ride along and try to figure it out. We ended up going to Ann Arbor to an amazingly beautiful park. He packed our picinic basket (it’s so cute…it has dishes and eating utensils and stemmed glasses all strapped inside) full of my favorite middle eastern foods and a bottle of red wine. We feasted on hommus, taboleh, stuffed grape leaves, cheese and pita bread…so yummy! After eating and relaxing for a while we had to pack up and head for our next destination.
He booked an 8pm appointment for us at the Oasis Hot Tub Gardens. It’s a really cool place that we discovered a few years ago on his birthday. Basically they have a number of different rooms each decorated in a different theme and containing a hot tub. You can rent the tubs for an hour or an hour and a half. It’s a great alternative for us since we both really enjoy hot tubs but cannot have one at this stage in our lives. Plus, the room that we had was outdoors and has a 25 foot waterfall. It’s called the Borneo Rain Forest room. (the link shows the waterfall totally frozen…normally it’s laden with water not ice) We chilled out in the hot tub, enjoyed the nature sounds music and then tried to pep up for the long ride home. I-94 was shut down between I-96 and the Lodge, so getting home took longer than we would have liked and prevented us from getting the Dairy Queen Blizzards that we had our hearts set on, but the night had been so great we really couldn’t complain. We ended up getting pints of ice cream at 7-11. They were a poor substitute for the blizzards, but they satisfied our sweet toothes? teeth? whatever!
By the way, I’m posting this comment from our new Dell computer at home!

Happy two year to you. Happy two year to you. Happy two year andy and rebecca. Happy two year to you.
I can’t believe it’s already been two years. Just imagine standing at the war memorial fighting the bee in your veil!
I’m glad you guys had fun and I am really excited about your new computer.
Well, Happy Anniversary you two. Sounds like you both had fun, and I wish you many long years after this. See you when I see you!
