The Big Apple Revisited

I am so excited!!! My sister Ellen and I are going to NYC for a long weekend at the beginning of April. This is her senior year of high school and she desperately wanted to go on a fun trip during her last spring break. I got a call from her a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning. I’m always excited to hear from her so I thought it was just a routine catching up call. When she asked if I wanted to go to Manhattan with her for spring break I was shocked and thrilled! I talked the financial aspect of it over with Andy who is such a sweety pie and he thought it was a great idea so we booked the trip! We’ll get to Laguardia Airport at 7:41am on Friday April 1st and we’ll get back home to DTW at about 3pm on Monday afternoon. I am so excited to spend the weekend with my little sis in the greatest city in the world! I’m already researching great places to shop since this trip will be more about shopping than sightseeing. I’ve already discovered a shop called Alice Underground…it’s New York’s largest thrift store. We’re also going to hit H&M, Century 21, Macy’s and all the street vendors in Time Square and Soho. I’m saving up my spending money and counting down the days!
