I had a really busy weekend.
The kind where you sit at your desk on Monday morning, exhausted, thinking, “What the heck happened to the weekend?”.
It was full of good things, but I felt like I had to be “on” the whole weekend. Until right now, I haven’t had a chance to decompress. You know, just vegetate on the couch to simmer down.
I won’t get into all the sordid details, but this weekend reminded me to be thankful for the things I’ve been blessed with.
Namely,
My home. It’s not the Taj Mahal, but it’s cute, cozy and clean. What more do you really need?
My husband. He’s literally the most wonderful man I know. He’s so sweet and tender with Grace and I and would never do anything to hurt us. He gives and gives & loves and loves. We’re truly spoiled… in the best way.
My ability. I’ve often loathed the fact that I’m extremely capable. I generally tend to think that it leads to more burden than anything else. But that’s not entirely true. It really leads toward helping others if I channel it properly. And using it to help others is truly gratifying.
Now I’m going to take the rest of the evening to sit on my couch in my cozy living room with my wonderful husband and watch a movie. While eating cookie dough brownies!
Recipe forthcoming :)
