I’m totally humbled by Ellen’s guest post yesterday. Just so you all know, I consider myself to be a highly flawed sinner saved by Grace and not even close to the saint she painted me to be!
I’ve got to admit it makes my big sister heart swell with love to know that she looks up to me so much :)
Moving along to the punchline…
::wah wah wah::
Doesn’t a big bowl of pretty punch make any party seem a little more posh and festive?
I just love trying out new punch recipes and serving them up when I host parties. Here are 3 recipes that I’ve recently made:
Raspberry Wine Patio Punch
From Cooks.com
1 lime, thinly sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen raspberries, thawed
1 (12 oz.) can frozen pink lemonade, thawed
In small bowl combine lemon and lime slices in sugar. Refrigerate 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
In blender blend raspberries until smooth.
Combine raspberry puree, lemonade and 9 cups cold water. Chill.
At serving time, place lemon and lime mixture in bottom of large punch bowl. Add raspberry mixture, blend well. Stir in wine. Slowly pour carbonated beverage down side of bowl, stir gently. Serve over ice. Makes 20 cups.

2 32 oz bottles of apple juice, chilled
2 12 oz cans from cranberry juice concentrate
2 c & 1 tbsp orange juice
3 liters ginger ale
1 orange, sliced thin
In large punch bowl, combine apple, cranberry & orange juices. Stir until dissolved/combined then slowly pour in the ginger ale.
Thinly slice an orange and float the slices on top! To make it alcoholic, the use champagne instead of ginger ale!
*I forgot to add the orange juice and it was still tasty, but I think the OJ would make it even better!
And now, my favorite punch so far! It was very tart and fruity with a really nice fizz from the champagne :)
Fruity Champagne Punch
From All Recipes
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
1 (750 milliliter) bottle white wine, chilled
1 liter carbonated water, chilled
2 (750 milliliter) bottles champagne, chilled
1 lemon – sliced, for garnish
1/2 cup fresh mint, garnish (optional)
In large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice concentrate, pink lemonade concentrate, limeade concentrate, white wine, club soda and champagne. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
*I didn’t have fresh mint on hand so I skipped it, but this summer that mint will be taking over my garden so I’ll be sure to make a batch of this punch again to use some of it up!

Rebecca you deserve everything Ellen said about you!!! She is right on track…. you are one special lady!!!! I am so very proud of you my dear….
