Well, this is my first ever “link up”! I’ve read lots of blogs that have a weekly link up but I’ve never participated until now. I’m linking up over at hormonal imbalances for Diana’s Sunday Confessions.
Here goes…I am a total spelling/grammar snob.
I find myself judging people who don’t write well. I’m not talking about casual writing like using all lowercase letters in an email or using “&” instead of “and”.
I’m talking about “there” instead of “their” or “they’re” and “your” instead of “you’re” and “definately” instead of “definitely” and “are” instead of “our”. I could go on and on, but I feel my blood pressure rising.
Sounds silly, I know. But I’m starting to realize that I’m very critical of these and other errors I come across when reading people’s emails, status updates, etc.
Now I know we all have occasional slip ups (even me!) but some people just can’t get it together when it comes to this stuff and I tend to be pretty judgmental about it :(
So there you have it. My Sunday confession.

I love the idea of confessing things like this. I agree with everyone about editing errors, but more importantly that we can also go overboard being critical!!! I am preaching to my own choir here!!!

Me too! I'm always afraid to say anything because I'm sure there are tons of errors throughout my posts that I just miss.
My biggest pet peeve, though, is grammar. Like, when people label a picture as “so-and-so and I”. I know why people do it, but it is wrong and drives me nuts! The rule is just to say what you would normally say if it were just you and put the other person first; you would not say “here's a picture of I”! Anyway, I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir :)

i'm RIGHT there with you! btw, i like your new blog design!

Omg. I thought this might just be me. I know sometimes I'll forget an apostrophe or misspell, but I actually have to remind myself that someone isn't stupid just because their blog is full of errors.
It's shocking to find out while reading that they are well educated – or a teacher!
