When I was attempting to clean the house last week, I noticed that my vacuum cleaner wasn’t sucking (which really sucked ;). So I asked Andy if he would take a look at it to see if he could figure out the problem. He has become increasingly more handy lately with fixing things, so of course he figured it out! Turns out the hose was badly plugged and wouldn’t come clean until he blasted it with the hose…check out what was inside:
it was really just a bunch of hair, dust and carpet fuzz, but it looks like some kind of animal $#@% don’t you think??
On a yummier note…last night I picked a bunch of fresh basil from my garden and made my first batch of pesto. It was so delicious! My friend Bonnie suggested toasting the pine nuts before adding them, so I did that and I also used some delicious, gourmet parmigiana reggiano cheese that I got from a friend for my birthday. Add to that some olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and you have heaven on toast! I sliced up a whole grain baguette and cracked open a bottle of wine and Andy and I had an unconventional, but scrumptious dinner!
