Ellen’s open house went very well. It was SUPER hot on Sunday, but God held the rain off , so we couldn’t complain too much (although we tried….I get cranky when I’m hot).
At the last minute I decided to take Monday off and spend the night. So on Sunday night Ellen and I went through all her cards and gifts and then pigged out while watching “Meet the Barkers” on MTV.
Ellen had to work all day on Monday, but John Paul was home, so he and I decided to play Monopoly. It was the dot com version, so all the “properties” were actually websites and the dollar bills were in millions. We played for about 3 or 4 hours! JP had the equivalent of Boardwalk and Park Place and I had 3 solid monopolies around the board. I don’t know how he managed to stay in the game with only one monopoly, but he did. It might have had something to do with the fact that he landed on “Free Parking” 10 times and won huge jackpots! He did have hotels on his two properties, so I got hit for $1500-$2000 each time I landed on them! However, in the end my strategy worked better and I won the game! I don’t know if I’ve even played monopoly to the end before!
We had a blast and it was tough to tear myself away to drive home on Monday night. I can’t wait till I’m out of this stinking job and I can spend more time with them!

We love having you around too! How many teenagers would rather stay home with their older sister than be with their friends? I happen to have two that love being with you!!! You’re the best! Love, Mom

I wish you could have been there too! But there’s nothing like a ghetto recital to compete with!
I can’t wait to hear the new Tinna story!

I wanted to be there! As I was sitting in the auditorium listening to the people around me yelling as if they were at a state fair, I was thinking, I could be in Onstead laughing with Rebecca and Ellen.
I have a new Tinna story by the way.
