My husband, like many other husbands in the 20-30 age bracket, really loves to play video games. He is especially fond of Playstation 2. I like it because it doubles as a DVD player and allows me to watch endless numbers of romantic comedies!
Anyway, I too enjoy playing a good game now and then, but I really don’t like any of the games he is into. So, most of the time he will play PS2 while I work on my scrapbook or run errands or have dinner with a friend etc. Since it is such a favorite hobby of his, I have been wanting to be able to enjoy it with him. The answer to that has finally come…Tetris Worlds!
We were out shopping at the mall on Friday night after a delicious dinner at Red Lobster (thanks to Joe and Mindy!) and we had to make the routine stop at FYE. I believe FYE is actually the Bermuda Triangle. My dear husbands walks within 3 feet of that store and it sucks him in! Sometimes he gets so engrossed in the selection of video games and DVD’s that I wonder if he will ever resurface!
Anyway, we found the Tetris Worlds game for only $19.99 and I thought it might be a good idea to get it sometime, but it didn’t really occur to me to get it right then. So, we continued to wander around and eventually called it a night.
The next night was the make-up Thanksgiving celebration with his side of the family. (let me state for the record that I think there should be two Thanksgiving celebrations every year!) We had a great time with his siblings and finally left at about 11pm. Andy suggested stopping by Meijer to see if they had the Tetris game…I was all for that idea, so we went! Sadly, they did not have the game, nor did the other closest Meijer store. :-( We were forced to wait till the following day to look any further.
Well, tomorrow came and Andy picked it up at a mall near us while I was at a friend’s holiday open house! Last night we played for over two and a half hours! By the end of the night we thought our eyes were going to fall out and our thumbs were going to fall off! It was a blast!
